Red People is a duet that was based on the writings of autistic writer Donna Williams in her book Nobody, Nowhere. Because of her autism, Ms. William's experience of the world seems to be one of experiential overload. The music and choreography was designed to try to portray our impression of what this state must be like.

The title refers to her description of the way in which she perceives the non-austistic people around her as bundles of "red" energy.
