The Electronic Disturbance (continued)
Interactive sensors permitted sounds or movements made by a performer in one city to control theatrical elements in another. For instance, the vocal inflections of a singer in Santa Fe modulated the lighting in New York

One section of The Electronic Disturbance extended this "performance network" worldwide as we invited the public to take part via the internet. Those with a direct internet connection are able send real time text messages to the performance sites, where they are read aloud by a synthesized computer voice.

Creation of The Electronic Disturbance was funded in part The AT&T Foundation and Meet the Composer.
