Hardware Overview
This summarizes the hardware devices that we use in our live performances. Most of them are sensory systems that allow a computer to get information about what a physical body is doing in the real-world. Many of these systems were created by Troika Ranch Artistic Director Mark Coniglio. Click the "more" button to find out about the software we use.

MidiDancer
MidiDancer is a wireless sensory system worn on the body of a dancer that allows their movement to control a variety of media devices.

LaserWeb
This device senses the interruption of beams of light, allowing the computer to know when the performer moves through the beam and the speed with which they move through it.

Piezo Sensors
These small metal disks that measure impact. They can be mounted in set pieces or the floor to allow contact by the body to trigger media events.

Wireless Miniature Cameras
We have used these devices in two of our recent works, to allow a unique live video perspective from the stage.
