Lisa Herlinger-Thompson
Lisa Herlinger Thompson grew up in Hawaii where she trained and performed with the Windward Youth Ballet, Kokokahi Gymnastics Team, The Jazz Factory and the Castle Performing Arts Complex for musical theater. Lisa attended UCLA where she graduated cum laude with a BA in Dance. After taking a dare, she auditioned and spent one year as a UCLA Songleader, Go Bruins! As a senior, Lisa was a recipient of the Clifton Webb Award for Dance. While in Los Angeles she performed with various choreographers and produced her own work. Lisa moved to New York in 1993 to continue these efforts and soon became a founding member of LIMBIC SIX. She joined Troika Ranch in 1998 and has been enjoying the process of making dances ever since. The collaborative nature of thework and the technical variables always keeps her on her toes. Lisa's teachers include Ronald Bright, Mary Beth Griffith, Pam Sandridge, Doug Varone and Jackie Villamil.
